S355JR Low carbon High Yield Strength Steel
S355JR Steel Plate
S355 Grade ranges S355JR, S355J0, S355J2, S355K2 which are non-alloy structural steel material specified in EN 10025 standard.
“S” means structural, “355” represents yield strength at 355 Mpa minimum. JR specified the steel needed to be impact tested at 27 Joules with longitudinal Charpy V-Notch impact test at room temperature. There are different designations of the Charpy test including J2, J0, and K2.
S355JR grade steel is an important material used in structural engineering. It gives excellent yield and tensile strength normally supplied with various treatments and tests, to make sure it is a wise option to use in different industries and projects.
EN10025 European Standard Structural Steel
EN 10025 is the European standard structural steel for Hot rolled products in carbon steel. S355 grade is also defined in this standard, other than this grade there are also S235, S275, S460, S550, S620, S690 with conditions hot rolled, normalized, quenched, and tempered.
